Jessica's Story
Meet Jessica Davila-Burnett, JDB Public Relations and Executive Coaching Principal and CaPP Certified Executive Coach and highly educated communications strategist. Jessica holds both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology of Organizational Development, Behavior, and Leadership from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. Jessica received her CPEC certifications (personal and executive coaching) from the CaPP Institute in Peachtree City, Georgia. She is a graduate of the LBJ Women’s Campaign School at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. She was selected as one of fifty women in the United States for the inaugural class.
Jessica has been recognized internationally, nationally, and locally for her achievements in community service. Latina Magazine named Jessica one of the Top 10 Most Amazing Women in its September issue in 2004. That same year, Jessica received the KRIS-TV 6 and Corpus Christi Caller-Times Jefferson Medallion Award and the University of Incarnate Word Campus Ministry Award. She was named the 2007 Corpus Christi Under Forty Person of the Year. In 2011, Jessica was inducted into the Del Mar College Wall of Honor and was named Leadership Corpus Christi Alumni of the Year. In 2015, Jessica was named Alumni of the Year from the University of the Incarnate Word. The League of Women Voters South Texas chapter recognized her as a 2016 TrailBlazer. In May 2017, she received national recognition from FARE (Food Allergy Research and Education Organization) as the Outstanding Advocacy Impact Vision Award recipient for her work to help pass legislation for Texas children and youth with food allergies. In 2019, Jessica received recognition from American Express as a Small Business Ambassador. Jessica is a graduate of Leadership Texas 2010, Leadership Corpus Christi Class 33, Leadership San Antonio 300, and is in the current Leadership Boerne Class 2021.
